I am loving sparkle and glitter at the moment and so what better than a golden smokey eye!

Firstly I used the Mac Prep and prime Primer which I actually have a sample of and I love it! I feel like this base actually leaves a shimmer to the skin even after putting on foundation. I then use the Nars Luminous foundation and apply this all over the face using the Real Techniques foundation brush. I then apply the Rimmel concealer in a triangle shape under the eyes and then using a sponge to blend this in I dap the concealer until it is completely blended.

I then use the Elizabeth Arden eyebrows palette in Brown and shape my eyebrows until they look more defined and shaped.

IMG_4047I then move onto the eyes. Firstly I cover the whole upper eyelid in a white pencil. This is to make the base lighter and by doing this it will make the gold eyeshadow stand out more! I then take my Estee Lauder palette and use the shade ‘Cobblestone’ which is an orange/brown shade. Using the brush which comes with the Estee Lauder palette and then apply the colour to the outer corner to the eye and taking it into the crease of the eye.

I then take the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay and apply the gold shimmer shade to the centre of the eye lid by dabbing this on gently to make sure that the colour does not drop onto the cheeks.

Next I use the Estee Lauder black Khol liner and apply this to the lower water line along with the top water line as well to make this look a bit darker and smokier.

Next I will curl my eyelashes and then apply mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes. For this look I am using the Nars Mascara in a black which I actually don’t really like the brush of it originally but now its got a bit older the mascara has got a bit thicker and now it makes the lashes thicker and longer and its actually great!

IMG_4051We move onto the contouring. I didn’t really want to make this look too sharp so I have used the trusty ol’ Anastasia Beverly hills contour pallet and my slanted brush from Mac and just dusted the medium brown colour under my cheek bones along with the edges of my forehead and under my chin. I then apply a dark pink/ purple lip liner to my lips and then my Nude Soap and Glory lip stick. The mixing of these colours makes a really beautiful plumb colour!

So this is my finished look! I hope you like it please give me a follow if you do and a like and as always leave your comments as I love to read them all!!

  1. Gorgeous look! :O Do you use a cream or powder contour? Also, are you based in the UK? If so, where did you find the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour pallet? XX
