If you read my last blog post ‘Lancome Travel Set’ you will know that I have recently been lucky enough to be given this amazing palette, so what better than to show you all how it looks on and I was so impressed with all of the amazing products inside!

IMG_3973Firstly I have done a base foundation using the L’Oreal Infallible foundation, I figures as L’Oreal and Lancome are part of the same brand they won’t mind be using this foundation first. I have then gone straight onto the eyebrows. So for this I use used the brown pencil which is in the bottom section of the palette. This pencil is really easy to use and such a light colour so it is perfectly buildable, especially to use on eyebrows as we do not want to get them too dark.

I have then taken the eyeshadow brush and using the smaller end, I have applied the white shade over the whole of the eye lid and into the centre corners to add some brightness to the eye. I then apply the shade Brown into the crease of the eye. I feel that when this is applied it actually looks more red I feel than brown but this is fine we all love a red!

I then took the shade Gold (original shade names I know right?!) And then I apply this to the centre of the eyelid blending towards the outside to mix with the brown/red. These colours together create a warm blend perfect for autumn months but also just for every day wear.

I then take the brown eyeliner and gently and subtly line the upper lid creating a slight flight. Using a brown liner creates a really natural looking like to make the whole make up look a lot more subtle and wearable.

I then apply the concealer in the lightest colour under the eyes and along the brow bone under the eyebrow. I take the powder in the lower section of the palette and just apply this to the centre of the forehead and down the centre of the nose. I also apply this onto of where I had just applied the concealer in order to act as a setting powder. Next I take the blusher brush and apply this along the cheek bones and up towards the end of the eyebrows. This sounds like a strange thing to do with a blusher but this has such a gorgeous shimmer to it I feel like it could actually be a highlighter because it adds a beautiful glow to the face.

Last but not least, I then apply the Lancome Juicy Shaker lipgloss to my lips. This is the Shade Mango wild which I absolutely adore! I was lucky enough to be sent this from Lancome and I cannot believe how lucky I am because this is absolutely perfect for me. The colour is to die for the the smell is even better! The application for this lipgloss is like nothing else I have ever used and it is so beautiful and nourishing for the lips, again, I will be using this a lot over the summer months to come!

I hope you like my look, if you do please give it a like and a follow. Do you have any Lancome products you use? Have you tried the Lancome Juicy Shaker? If you want to read more about the palette I have used for this look just click here!

Hi! Im Freya. Im 23 and this my escape from life into my own little world visiting, tasting and trying the things I love! Hoping that everyone will enjoy my posts and give others ideas of what they would like and hopefully I can steal some ideas back!

      1. Hi. Well. Opening a YouTube page depends on the pros / cons. Do you want to invest the time, resources (camera, editing software, etc) and energy (to launch and do upkeep, reply to fans)? What kind of return are you hoping to get – expand your viewership, broaden the dynamics of your company/project, sell products, try something new and have some fun?

On a personal note, I decided to launch a trial YouTube page – see what I could do with a minimal investment. The concept was – write guitar music and teach people how to play guitar as well as those songs. I hoped that people would be inspired, learn something new and maybe connect with people I hadn’t in a long time (you’d be surprised how many high school and college friends I reconnected with because this was the central point we connected on back then).

My investment was minimal: one take videos of songs I had just written that day, iPhone records, no video editing. I did one song that I recorded one full band track with an recording interface and recording software and uploaded an image as the background. This was my investment.

After a 3 month trial launch, I left the page alone and only updated more recent songs on Facebook.

Im taking some time now to prepare for the official launch of the YouTube page. The vision is better formed now. It’s going to be a resource Center instead of a how-to channel.

You can check out the YouTube page if you’re interested. “Grilo Music” http://youtu.be/lSroA2Q41JU

  1. Interesting! Lancome on you looks so nice! I used to look down on their eye shadows because I havea palette and the quality is questionable (too shimmery & doesn’t stay long even with using strong base). Have you used an eye-shadow base for this make up? And how long did it last? Thank you!
