As much as you wouldn’t be able to tell, I am actually a more savoury person than sweet and cheese scones must be one of my all time favourite things to eat so when I decided to make some I had to stop and ask myself why I have not done this sooner?!|

Ingredients
225g self raising flour
80g milk
50g Butter
200g Cheddar Cheese
1 tsp baking powder

Firstly sieve the flour and baking powder together into a bowl, then take the butter, cut into small cubes, using your hands rub the butter into the flour until it turns similar to bread crumbs, then apply thee quarters of grated cheese into the mixture and stir together. Make a small well into the centre of the flour mix and pour about a third of the milk into this. Then continue to mix this together until it turns into a dough. You might not need all of the butter so what I did with this was ass a little milk at a time until it turns completely into a dough.

I would then set the oven to 180 degrees and place a tray lined with grease proof paper. Next pour a small amount of flour onto a work surface and then roll the dough out until it is about 2cm in thickness. Then place a small amount of milk on the top of each scone and then place some cheese into the oven to cook for 10-15 minutes.

These should rise and the cheese should melt and it should be absolutely delicious!
