Silver hair is a fashion statement at the moment and it is one I absolutely LOVE! I kinda want silver hair, really, really badly but I don’t want my hair to get ruined (as it is really dry and frizzy and it just wouldn’t go well) so I do the best I can at getting rid of all brassy/yellow tones from my hair by using my two favourite silver shampoos! This little trick the hairdressers have been keeping up their sleeve is a diamond to all the blonde hair girls and it is one that should stick around in my opinion!
These shampoos are bright purple and if you haven’t used one before you might look at is and have a thought of oh my god for a split second but I promise you these will change your life, because lets be honest now, who actually wants yellow hair in 2016? Not me. The purple shade of the shampoo creates a coating on the hair and it counter acts the yellow tones making them appear lighter and therefore a more grey/silver tone.

IMG_3523Osmo is the cheaper version of the two, with this brand not being as big as L’Oreal but don’t let he price fool you (although it is still £7.99) this is brilliant. The colour of the shampoo is a dark purple and it can be used as a daily shampoo or can be left on to really let the tone set into the hair.

IMG_3519Although the L’Oreal professional is my favourite out of the two, I must admit. I will put this on my hair and leave it for about 5-10 minutes every week as well as use this every time I was my hair. This is a god sent and I love it. It smells amazing and leaves my hair such an amazing colour. The only down side to these purple shampoos is that it can leave the hair feeling a little dry after, but nothing a good conditioner wont sort out.

So girls if you are looking at your hair, especially at this time of year thinking, my hair is looking dull or a bit dry or just a bit not how you want it, this can be the thing for you! It is cheaper than a trip down the salon and it is just as amazing!

  1. Hey… My hair is very short at the moment – opportunities to dye it any colour !! (really short hair gets cut off regularly so no problem if dyes damage it 😉

Silver is recommended…? I just may try it – and add some gold glitter for evening style 🙂

Great photography on this blog – do you capture the photos yourself?

  2. It’s funny because my wife’s a brunette and just last week I told her she should give silver hair a try. She looked at me as though I was crazy. I dig the silver hair trend and I think you could totally rock that look ☺.
