Okay, I know I’m late its already been New year and we have already gone out and celebrated again but who cares! This is my eye make up for the New year and I plan to re do this look over 2016 for other occasions too.
To start I shaded the whole eyelid in a white kohl pencil. This is to create a lighter colour for the base of the shadow so when I apply a colour later on it looks exactly how it does in the palette. I then apply the Estee Lauder shade ‘Hot cinnamon’ which is a shimmer to the inner corner going towards the outside of the eye. I apply this using the Mac eyeshadow brush number 239SE.
I then take the second, darker colour for this look and apply it to the outer corner of my eye to give the final look a smokey effect. I use the Estee Lauder shade ‘Lavish Mink’ which is a more brown matte colour. I apply this using the Mac brush 219SE. I also apply this to the crease of the eye lid and then just to the bottom of my lower lids.
I then use the eyeshadow in shade ‘Wild Truffle’ which is a lighter brown to just shade my eyebrows in making them look more defined.
Next I take the L’Oreal thick liquid eyeliner pen in black and apply this just to the outer corners of the eye in a small triangle. This is to make the eyes look darker and more cat like as I love this look. I then apply the Benefit ‘Roller lash’ mascara to my eyes which make the eyelashes appear longer therefore making my eyes look bigger.
Finally I use the Mac brushes in 133SE and 168SE to contour the face using the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette. These brushes have literally changed my life. They are all amazing and have such a great application of the colours required. I finish the look with t he Estee Lauder lip gloss in shade ‘Deep plumb’. This is a purple shade although when applied to the lips it is clear with a purple tint which I LOVEEEEE.
