My autumn essential is a plumb lip. Who doesn’t love this shade at this time of the year? It is so flattering for all skin types so this is my make up including my favourite plumb lip!

To start I use the Benefit ‘That gal’ primer to create a glow to the skin. I then use the Nars Luminous skin foundation in the shade Fiji as a base colour for my face, which is a new foundation for me which I am loving!
IMG_3164I then use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour palette using the shade ‘Sand’ for under my eyes and in the centre of my forehead, then under the cheek bones and the edge of the face I use the shade ‘Java’ to create a shadowing making the face look more chiseled and defined.
IMG_3167IMG_3168Then using the UBU brush in number 31 which is a small slanted brush I colour my eyebrows in using the lighted matte brown shade from my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I am using this to make my eyebrows look lighter. I then use the Mac Concealer in shade NC20 under the eyebrow to make the underneath of the eyebrow more defined and also lighter towards the centre as I do not want them looking too coloured in.

I then find the eyeshadow part of the process hard to capture. So firstly I used the shade ‘Foxy’ as a base colour over the whole eyelid, then taking the shade ‘snakebite’ I go along the crease of the eye and along the top of the lid. As the lips are going to be so bold I don’t want the eyes to look too dark so I make sure this colour is blended in really well using the largest brush from my UBU collection. Finally I use the colour ‘Chopper’ for the middle of the eyelid to just add some extra shimmer.
I then use the L’Oreal Thick liquid eyeliner pen to create a flick on the top eyelid. The thing I love about the flick is it creates the effect of having longer eyelashes and making the eye look more feminine. I then use the Benefit ‘They’re real’ mascara on my eyelashes after curling them.
Finally the finishing item, Lipstick. I use the Illamasqua lipstick in the shade ‘Growl’. This is a dark plumb/brown/red shade. I am only new to the Illamasqua range and after hearing so much great things about this brand I have taken the leap and now am in love. This is so soft to the lips yet is long lasting and I mean really long lasting to the point of I ate a whole meal and had a bath and it was still fully in place without smudging and looked just as good as freshly applied!
