One of my favourite things to eat and bake is shortbread. It is the most simple bake EVER and it tastes ah-maze-ing. So why not add something extra which is also great and then great plus great is extra great and that is what these biscuits are right? Right. Chocolate chips. YUM. So this is the recipe if you want to try it for yourself.

You will need:-
180g Plain flour
55g Caster Sugar
125g Butter
35g Chocolate chips

Firstly add the sugar and the butter into a bowl and mix together. I find it easiest to mix with a fork and the butter can be a bit tough if it is not at room temperature before you start. If the butter is really tough stick it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds you DO NOT want the butter to get hot or the mixture will not work.

If the mixture doesn’t stick together and remains in a dry form and separate you can add a splash of milk but you don’t want the mixture to get too wet as it will not roll out. You can also try and use your hands to get the mixture to blend and stick together (obviously making sure your hands are clean). Once it is in the dough form sprinkle some flour on a counter and place the mix on top ready to roll. Roll the mixture into a circular shape making sure the whole mix is the same thickness throughout.
You can then choose any shape you want and cut the biscuits and then place on to a baking tray, lined with grease proof paper and place into the oven at 190 degrees and leave to bake for 10-15 minutes.

Once the biscuits are a golden colour remove from the oven and eat and I can guarantee they are delicious!
