Today I thought I would share with you one of my easy, every day make up routine. It is basically lots of different methods which look great together and apart and I use at least one of these every day!
Firstly I used the Estee Lauder foundation in 2C3, this is quite a dark colour foundation for my skin so I only use it when I have a tan (usually a fake tan). I then use the MAC concealer in NC20 under my eyes and around my nose. I then use the MAC concealer in NC40 as a contour under my cheek bones, around the edge of my nose and on the edge of my forehead, I have been using this for a little while now and feel like it really give great results and looks exactly like a contour palette finish but at a lot cheaper price!
I then blend the darker colour in using a blending sponge. Once this is blended I then use the MAC gel eyebrow colour to make my eyebrows look darker. To apply this I use a thin slanted brush and start these from he inside out creating a darker more defined look. This is a fantastic product as it is so easy to use and very subtle in colour depending on how much you press with the brush, as it is a gel I also find that it keeps the eyebrows in place longer than an eyebrow pencil.
Once my eyebrows are done I then move onto the eyeshadow. For this I use my favourite eyeshadow palette, Naked 2 by Urban Decay, you can read my thoughts on this palette in my previous post ‘Naked palette 2 review’. I have also used a number 17 eyeshadow in Rose Quartz which is a purple, pinky colour with a subtle shimmer effect to it.
To create this look I used the colour ‘Foxy’ as a base colour. I then use the colour ‘Busted’ in the crease of the eye starting from the outer corner going towards the centre of the eye. For the centre of the eye I used the number 17 shade mixed with the colour ‘Tease’ to add a small bit of colour. I then used the L’Oreal eyeliner pen to create a flick at the edge of the eye going over the top of the eyelid. This is a new purchase of mine and I am really enjoying using this. I have found that it leave the eyeliners with neater edges and a softer flick than I had been doing previously, which is a bit strange but just trust me!
I then move on to the lips. For this I used a Rimmel lip liner in Exaggerate. I have over lined my lips on this occasion to make them look slightly bigger and plumper. I have then used the MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick which has a matt finish making the lips look smooth.
I hope you like my look, leave any comments and thoughts below and I’ll see you soon!
