Hair styles are always coming in and out of fashion, sometimes straight sometimes curly, sometimes up sometimes down. These are a couple of my favourite hair styles which I love, they are so feminine and flattering and really suit all face shapes.
I have the thickest curly hair so I wear my hair up 95% of the time so I love to experiment with different looks and I am so jealous of everyone with tame hair as mine is literally so wild and frizzy!
The first look I am going for today is the top knot. This is every where at the moment, it is so simple and easy to do and it has such an effective look!
First pull all your hair into a ponytail on the top of your head, you then need to twist the hair until it is quite tight but not pulling your hair out.
Then keep twisting the hair and it will gradually roll in on itself, once this is nearly done get a hairband and tie the end of the hair up into the band so that it will hold. I would always try and use a hairband that is similar to your hair colour so that it doesn’t stand out. I then pull some strands of hair down around the edges of my face so that it makes the look softer looking, whenever I have my hair like this I always fee like a ballerina, or this is just my inner child wanting to be a ballerina still.
My next look is a littler harder to do but still really easy once you get the hang of it. First split your hair in half pulling it round to each side of the face. Taking one side separate the hair into 3 and plait, securing the end with a hairband.
Complete this with both sides of the hair. Once both sides are in plaits, pull one plait over the top of the head, tucking the end of the plait into a side of the hair by the plait on the other side. Use bobby pins to then pin the hair down to keep it secure. Complete this on both sides of the head with both plaits so they look like a alice band over the top of the head. I put a few pins in the middle of the plaits so they stay together.
