I think its really hard to know everything there is to know about primers. Its not the first make up item your introduced to when starting to play with make up and to be honest it’s not that interesting but once you realise how great it is you will question why you have not been using it before!
I have been testing 3 primers and thought I would let you know what I think!
The first primer I have tried is the Mac Prep and Prime Skin base visage. This come in a black glittery bottle and it has a pump to release the product. You only need a tiny bit of this when applying as it spreads really well and has great coverage. This product also leaves a subtle glitter to your skin once its on and it can be visible under a foundation which I really liked. The down side to this product is that it’s quiet oily and I do sometimes suffer from an oily T zone so this did make me feel like half way through the day I needed to re do my make up.
My next primer Ive tried is the Benefit ‘That gal’. This comes in a tube with a great packaging showing New York. This is a brightening primer which is good as it does give you a glow which is great in the mornings if you have to get up at a stupid hour! To get this product out you have to twist the bottom of the tube and it comes out of small perforations so you don’t get too much. It’s also a pink colour which I like. This product was also quite oily which I wasn’t keen on although I did find this one better than the Mac!
My last primer is the Urban Decay ‘brightening and tightening’ and it really lives up to its name! The packaging to this product is different to the others as its in a tube and to get the product out you squeeze it like a toothpaste! You only need a small blob of the product and it has a brilliant coverage. This primer makes my face feel tight as soon as I put this on which is great and it also has that shine which I love and it highlights in all the right places. I found that throughout the day this product made my make up stay in place and look flawless throughout the day! I would recommend this product as it is simply brilliant!
I hope you have enjoyed my post and leave your comments and thoughts!
