On Saturday we had an awards night at my work and I thought I would show you my make up routine. I hope you enjoy.

Firstly I start by putting my urban decay primer on my face, this is a great base for my make up as it makes your make up stay on longer and it’g good to protect your skin from all the other products.

I then proceed to add my concealer in the same format as contouring. I use the Mac NC20 for under my eyes in a triangle shape as well as the middle of my nose and my t-zone going onto my forehead. I then use the NC40 around the side of my face and under my cheek bones to make them stand out more. I make a small triangle just above my eyebrow with the darker colour as well as the edges of my nose up to my eyebrow to make my nose appear thinner. I then use a bending sponge to blend the colours together and cover my whole face with a Mac powder to make it look matt and get rid of any shine.

Once this is done I will put on a bronzer in the edges of my forehead and under my cheek bones to have the same effect as the darker concealer.

I will then move on to my eyebrows. I have been using the Elizabeth Arden brow pallet for a few years now, most Elizabeth Arden stands don’t actually have it on display in England but if you ask for it they will have it and its great. It has small easy to use brushes with it and I love it! I just colour my brows in making them a little darker and then to make them more defined.

I then move onto my eyes. First I put a silver colour  on to my eyelids as a base colour. Having blue eyes I find this colour goes really well and if you have brown eye I would have gone with a more golden colour. I then would use a dark shade on the outer side of my eyes and into the crease of the eyelid towards the middle of the eye to make it have a smokey effect. I would then get a medium grey colour and put it on the eyelid from the outside of the eye towards the middle to make it blend together. I would then add a thin line of liquid eyeliner into a flick at the outside to make it look a bit more special. Once all of this is done I would then use my Benefit mascara as spoken about in my previous post.

I then use my two favourite product which are the benefit Bene tint and the High beam which are a pink stain for my cheeks and then a highlighter for my cheek bones and my eyebrow bone which I feel add a glow to my face.

Once my make up is complete I get dressed and am ready to go! I hope you liked my look and leave your comments!

  1. I eyed that benefit tint a couple of years but thought I was getting the results I want with the Dandelion powder. It looks like it’s a fancier choice for a full makeup, am I right? And if it’s something that can be worn on a more daily look, is there a lower end equivalent?
